Sažetak
This book provides a philological and philosophical reconstruction of the five political chapters on the theory of rulership in the Chunqiu fanlu. The Chunqiu fanlu is a compendium of Chinese philosophy, traditionally ascribed to Dong Zhongshu, a pivotal scholar from the Former Han dynasty. This book focuses on a particularly neglected portion of this disregarded, misunderstood text. It explores a literary unit consisting of chapters 18-22. The aim of this book is threefold: first, to translate them ; second, to place them in their proper historical context ; and finally, to analyse the political theory these essays present and promote.
