Sažetak
The keynote speech addressed technology, lifeworld, commodification, and financialisation in the context of digital platforms. However, the fact that new corporate actors realise enormous profits from data commodification does not mean that traditional commodity production has vanished. Many platforms stimulate the production and consumption of commodities in the global economy, making it unjustifiable to analyse production and circulation separately. A theoretical framework grounded in the traditional Frankfurt School and, most importantly, in the so-called New Readings of Marx and Open Marxism approaches were presented to understand this complexity.
