Sažetak
Based on the Laudato si' social encyclical, hope for the Earth and hope for humanity are dealt within the context of the connection of the renewal of our relationship with nature with renewal of humanity itself. The approach to hope from a Christian and secular perspective is systematized, as well as the importance of dialogue. The following aspects of the dialogue in relation to hope for the Earth and humanity are presented: the principle of participation (e.g. environmental cases against governments at the European Court of Human Rights) ; the importance of the individual ; a joint vision of the future of the planet ; politics and economy and the technocratic paradigm.
