Sažetak
The war in Ukraine proved to be a significant trigger for the unhealed psychological wounds of the civilian victims of the war in the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Unlike the active military personnel, especially those diagnosed with PTSD, who were much better cared for and monitored in the early years by either pharmacotherapy or counseling and psychotherapy, the civilian victims didn’t get that much attention, especially those that didn’t seek immediate help. This paper will present the case study of one adult client who, as a child, experienced stressful and life-threatening experiences in the city of Vukovar in the Republic of Croatia, an area that was heavily affected by war and it will show their therapeutic intervention during multi years long psychodynamic therapy.
