Sažetak
The development of the new Croatian Research Information System (CroRIS) started in 2017 under the strategic project of Ministry of Science and Education “Scientific and Technological Foresight”. It was co-financed by European Union through the European Regional Development Fund. Project partner is University of Zagreb University Computing Centre (Srce). Ruđer Bošković Institute formally joined the project in 2021 and participates in CroRIS development at all levels. The aim of CroRIS is to provide comprehensive, complete and accurate data on Croatian research information via one central portal. The system consists of several separate modules: People, Projects, Equipment and services, Institutions, Bibliography (CROSBI), Journals and Events. Prior to CroRIS, research information were dispersed through various independent information systems and databases, which are now reimplemented in CroRIS. That includes also several databases originally developed by the Center for Scientific Research of Ruđer Bošković Institute (CROSBI, POIROT, Šestar, Who is Who in Croatian science). CroRIS is publicly available and thus supports and promotes open science.
