Sažetak
The author focuses on the press publisher's right introduced in the EU law by the Copyright on the DSM Directive (2019/790) and implemented in Croatian law by several articles in the newly adopted Copyright and Related Rights Act (2022) in Croatia. The transposition is characterised by maximalist approach, since the Croatian law adds a general press publishers right in addition to that applicable to online environment and only to uses by the ISSPs. Another important legislative choice concerns the mandatory collective management of the press publisher's right and of the author's right which pertains to the published article.The rationale for such choice is to provide stronger bargaining position to press publishers on the Croatian market.
