Sažetak
The aim of this investigation was to compare two media for production of F. graminearum spores. The comparison was made between the inoculum produced on solid potato dextrose agar (PDA) and modified Bilay&#8217 ; s liquid medium. For that purpose two field trials with 18 wheat varieties and 3 sources of resistance were carried out. In both trials, regardless of the kind of inoculum, significant differences were obtained in the visual rating index (VRI) among wheat varieties. Using the modified Bilay's liquid medium for F. graminearum spores production slightly higher average infection rates were observed and the resistance in varieties could be distinguished easier with the visual rating index.
