Sažetak
New planned roads change the landscape of the suburban area through which they run over. In order to evaluate this change, it is necessary to define landscape values of a suburban area that roads passes trough and define the road corridor that have influence on natural, cultural and anthropological values of explore area. Since the rout of the road is not defined only by landscape values, but it is also defined by minimum of construction costs, or by land topography, or by land use, obviously several alternative routs will appear. The analyses of rout alternatives brig out criterions that are basis for valuation of solutions in order to determine the one with minimum impact on landscape. The influence of road on landscape of suburban area will be presented on example of planning road from Dubovica cove to the settlement of Sv. Nedilja on the island of Hvar (Croatia).
