Sažetak
The aim of this retrospective study was to provide an insight into the use of analgesics at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Pozega General Hospital. A series of 449 patients, 310 females and 139 males aged 18-70 yrs (mean age 44 yrs), were analyzed. The patients were treated at ICU November 1, 1993 till October 31, 1994, 435 of them previously operated on and 14 not operated on. The most frequently used analgesics were diclofenac (90.6% of patients), pentazocine (23.6% of patients) and tramadol (5.56% of patients). Analgesics like pyrolidine (3.56% of patients), petidine (2.44% of patients), ketoprofen (0.89% of patients) and metamizole (0.44% of patients) were less frequently used.
