Sažetak
The objective world subsists, functions, and plays its follies according to the temporal dominion and phenomenal laws over which man has no control – just as he has no control over laws of gravitation (Nevatia and Nevatia 2021). The generally accepted notion is that the economy operates under conditions of scarcity, whereby resources that are limited in supply are considered valuable. Paradoxically a scarcity economy leads to environmental destruction because the natural environment is treated as a free commodity. Social inequality among humans is mainly created due to the control of critical assets by a few. So, it is inevitable that society will change the present economic system that is based on the limitless consumption of scarce resources to more sustainable models. Shifting from a scarcity-based to an abundance-based economy involves altering the mindset from perceiving an infinite supply of resources to satisfy humans’ desires, to recognizing that humans possess only adequate resources to fulfill our necessities. Abundance is closely related to the company’s sustainable business model and society, so leaders who can change the economy and the world with organizational abundance will redefine the new normal in the role of business in contemporary society.
