Sažetak
Environmental concerns and efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and the resulting green power generation have led to a significant adoption of variable RES in power systems worldwide. As a result of the high penetration of RES units, especially inverter-connected wind turbines and photovoltaics (PV) the nature of the dynamics of modern electric power systems has changed and their operation has become challenging, requiring new approaches to monitoring, protection, and control. On the other hand, the availability of advanced smart technologies, e.g., sensor and ICT technology, has opened new paradigms for addressing new challenges. The presentation aims to address dynamic problems in low inertia power systems and propose sustainable approaches for monitoring, protection and control.
