Sažetak
The paper deals with the concept of deviant workplace behavior. The paper presents the results of an empirical study on the types of deviant workplace behavior of employees in Croatian companies in the information technology sector (IT). The difference in the occurrence of deviant workplace behavior by gender and age was analyzed, after which the correlation between the types of deviant behavior was examined. The results of the study showed a statistically significant difference in interpersonal deviance with respect to gender, i.e. male respondents are more prone to interpersonal deviant behavior in the workplace than women, whereas no statistically significant difference was found concerning organizational deviance. Regarding the age of the respondents, no statistically significant difference was found in any type of workplace deviance. Furthermore, a statistically significant correlation was found between two main types of deviance (organizational and interpersonal), but the correlation is weak. The limitations of the research are outlined as well as recommendations for future research.
