Sažetak
In the work of the German artist Hans Jürgen Syberberg it is possible to notice a certain convergence between the use of puppets, and references to Richard Wagner and his work. This essay takes as a starting point the analysis of the puppet scenes from Syberberg’s perhaps most famous work, the feature film "Richard Wagner’s Parsifal" from 1982, and explores the meaning of this convergence and its development in Syberberg’s previous and subsequent films, such as "The Counts Pocci: Some Chapters from the History of the Family" (1967) ; "Hitler, A Film from Germany" (1977) ; "The Night" (1985), and current projects: "The Nossendorf Diary" (since 2000) and "The Nossendorf Project" (since 2002).
