Sažetak
To the Editor: We read with interest the article by Tsadok et al on the reduction of neurological events by adhering to the rhythm-control strategy in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The critical piece of information that is not disclosed in the article, however, is the efficacy of sinus rhythm maintenance within the rhythm-control cohort. It is the presence of stable sinus rhythm coupled with adequate atrial transport that is paramount to the reduction of the stroke risk, and not the use of antiarrhythmic drugs per se. The administration of antiarrhythmics is, by no means, synonymous with the maintenance of stable sinus rhythm.
