Sažetak
The event recreates the original exhibition ZAGREB FREE ZONE by the American architect Lebbeus Woods (1940 – 2012), held at the Zagreb Museum of Arts and Crafts in the turbulent 1991. The exhibition LEBBEUS WOODS: ZAGREB FREE ZONE REVISITED presents the very same large prints exhibited thirty years ago, while the current extensive monograph traces the original drawings, notebooks and models that followed, including the documents related to the planned construction of a Freespace structure in Zagreb. In 1991 Lebbeus Woods wrote the words that still resonate strongly: „...the Free-Zone itself is nothing more nor less than a series of shifting centers that disturb in a human way the great pool of electromagnetic energies comprising a global field of human and natural interactions. Each Freespace structure is an element in the Free-Zone network, a point on a global matrix of communication and the exchange of personal experience. The Freespace structures are mobile. They are moved from place to place in Zagreb, from street to street, from courtyard to a square, by transport helicopter ; they are gypsy houses for individuals rooted only in... the strangely social isolation of their modernity.”

Projekt Zagreb Free Zone prvi put javno je
predstavljen turbulentne 1991. u zagrebačkom
Muzeju za umjetnost i obrt, u suorganizaciji
Društva arhitekata Zagreba. Izložba Lebbeus Woods:
Zagreb Free Zone Revisited ponovno prikazuje
originalni materijal izložen prije trideset
godina, te rekreira proces Woodsovog rada.
Organizatori su Arhitektonski fakultet u Zagrebu,
Oris Kuća arhitekture i Estate of Lebbeus Woods
(New York), a partner izložbe je Muzej za
umjetnost i obrt. Oris Kuća arhitekture, 30.03.–
30.04.2021.
