Sažetak
Different professions within the construction industry prepare students for practice in different ways through university curricula. In preparation for professional career, many issues are identified in the education of specific professions. Interdisciplinary collaboration between the different schools and faculties is more a set of isolated exceptions than a rule. These exceptions focus on project segments and do not strive for a holistic approach. Given that not everyone has the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary design offices where an integrated design approach is nurtured from the beginning of the project, young architects and engineers after university education are often deprived of the experience of such a form of collaboration. By including experts and students of different professions through connecting the selected courses within the respective curricula, the importance of collaboration would become closer to the students. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the particular curricula should encourage reflection on and development of building systems influenced by the green transition (construction, HVAC, electrical, sensors) following the idea that runs through the architect's mind. That way, the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in creating top-quality sustainable architecture is brought closer to students of all professions.
