Sažetak
In 1971, and as a result of still another reorganization of its state administration, Yugoslavia disbanded the Federal Commission for Foreign Cultural Relations, a well-organized and quite efficient governmental service, established at the beginning of the 1950s. The focus of this paper is a set of documents on the Yugoslav cultural exchange with NAM-countries prepared by the Federal Commission in 1971, as its last, professional contribution to the ongoing discussion on the content, and objectives of Yugoslav international exchange and collaboration in visual arts, literature, and film. Understood as the first attempt to provide a comprehensive, systematic outline of Yugoslav non-aligned cultural policy, the said set of documents (studies, surveys, recommendations), is also discussed as a possible starting point for explaining the position, and function of artistic culture in the overall activities of Yugoslav diplomacy in the 1960s and 70s.
