Sažetak
Urticaria represents a group of diseases involving a spontaneous urticaria, inducible urticaria (formerly called physical) and the remaining group comprising angioedema and urticarial vasculitis. In 80% of the children urticaria is result of an infection, and the less common is the food and the medication. Chronic spontaneous urticaria is not common occurrence in children but when it occurs clinical examination is necessary. Carefully taken up anamnesis and physical status are important in distinguishing urticaria from other diseases. The first generation of antihistaminics that have antihistaminic and the anti-inflammatory effect are used in the treatment. In chronic urticaria antihistaminics can be used in higher doses with mandatory elimination of possible causes of the disease. Other treatment modalities are recommended when therapeutic response has been failed to produce good therapeutic result.
