Sažetak
This paper presents the results of our research on the subject which EU funds, in the ongoing multiannual financial framework, are intended to finance the development projects of the enterprises located in the European Union or in the EU candidate countries. Indeed, the EU was born as an economic association among Western countries whose main purpose was to preserve peace through strong and mutual economic development. The EU has created several EU programmes to support innovation and entrepreneurship, helping the European companies to become more competitive, innovative and sustainable. After having completed our research and study of the relevant European legislation, we arrived at rather unexpected results. They are presented in our paper.
