Sažetak
Complex processes taking place in a reciprocating compressor during the capacity modulation and their influence on the refrigeration machine dynamic behaviour have been analysed using the numerical approach. The numerical model of a multi cylinder reciprocating refrigerant compressor has been developed. The model is physically based and it is suitable for use as a part of dynamic numerical models of heat pumps and refrigeration machines. Capacity control approaches such as on-off control, cylinder unloading, variable speed, hot gas bypass or variable clearance have been provided in model. Automatic generation of the differential equation system has been applied in order to simulate the control system actions during the compressor operation. Effects of compressor geometry, for different refrigerants or different refrigeration machine configurations, number of cylinders or valve characteristics can be analysed with the presented model as well. Comparison between different capacity control actions has been performed in order to present features of the model when used separately or as part of the refrigeration machine model.
