Sažetak
Family businesses represent an important form of work organisation in the Croatian economy. Due to fast growth and development, as well as the unfavorable conditions influencing transitional economy operations, family firms in Croatia have some specific characteristics and face certain common problems. This study presents and analyses various aspects of the management of family firms in Croatia, such as the relation of the family and the business, the management styles, the goals and strategies of family firms, the differences that exist when managers are, and when they are not, family members, the position of employees and possibilities for their promotion, decision making in family firms, the organisational culture, the problems of succession, etc
