Sažetak
This final paper describes the gas combustion unit with a special focus on ships on which is installed and their propulsion system. Natural gas is one of the three most important fossil fuels that „move“ the world and definitely the cleanest of them all. Burning it, with a negligible amount of nitrogen compounds, leaves no ashes nor sulphur oxides which makes this energy source stand out from the other fossil fuels. It is generated through milions of years of decomposition of plant and animal remains in the soil sediments. Under the surface we can find it on its own or together with crude oil.
