Sažetak
Existing knowledge and skills are becoming increasingly obsolete due to rapid technological and social changes which is why lifelong education and lifelong learning are key for preschool teachers’ successful adaptation to such changes. Continuous professional development, frequent professional learning, advancement, and reflection on one’s own work are some of the ways to develop preschool teachers’ professional competencies. These are also components of preschool teachers’ lifelong education necessary to develop the best possible educational practices. The aim of this study was to determine the preschool teachers’ attitudes towards lifelong education in Bjelovar- Bilogora County. The study was conducted on a sample of 99 preschool teachers. The results show, among other things, that preschool teachers greatly value continuous professional development and consider it extremely important for their work. Professional training serves as motivation to be even better at their job, while in terms of frequency of participation in various training activities, results show that most preschool teachers undergo training several times a year. Most of the preschool teachers are willing to pay for their professional training and they are most interested in attending workshops.
