Sažetak
The 26th International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks (SoftCOM 2018) was held in attractive ambience of the Bluesun Resort Velaris and Waterman Supetrus Resort, Supetar (island of Brac), September 13 to 15, 2018. The Conference has been organized by the University of Split, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FESB) and Croatian Communications and Information Society (CCIS) under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. The Conference has been technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc). Researchers and experts from industry, research institutes and universities from 38 countries all around the world have submitted in total 166 papers for presentation at SoftCOM 2018. Submitted papers have been reviewed by more than 250 scientists from universities, institutes and ICT companies all over the world. 80 accepted papers have been carefully selected based on their contribution, relevance, conceptual clearness and overall quality. 49% of submitted papers have been recommended for presentation within the technical program. The technical conference program featured twenty conference sessions including nine general conference sessions, three symposia, five special sessions. and one workshop. The symposia have been dedicated to the following topics: Green Networking and Computing, Environmental Electromagnetic Compatibility, and Information Security and Intellectual Property. The special sessions are dedicated to hot topics including: QoS in Wired and Wireless Networks, Ad Hoc & Sensor Networks and IoT, Security and Digital Forensics, Smart Environments and IoT, and Advanced Educational Technologies. The Workshop on Robotic and ICT Assisted Wellbeing has been jointly coorganized by the research groups from the universities from Greece, Bulgaria and Croatia. Besides the scientific program, a professional workshop dedicated to a wide spectra of topics in ICT was organized. In addition seven half-day tutorials were held by worldwide recognized experts. In conjunction with the SoftCOM 2018 conference a Business Forum was organized featuring invited talks and workshops with participation of managers, executives, experts, government and institution representatives who discussed and exchanged opinions and experiences on a number of hot topics in a contemporary and future ICT industry and market including business, technological and social aspects. The 7th Workshop on Software Engineering in Practice which was organized with the Ericsson Nikola Tesla company gathering researchers and professionals from industry who presented new developments in this emerging topic. “Big Data Panel: Is Data the New Oil?” has been jointly organized by researchers from the University of Zagreb, University of Split and the company Ericsson Nikola Tesla. The program also included the Workshop on Doctoral Studies in ICT and the presentation of students projects in the frame of the Ericsson Nikola Tesla summer camp 2018. In addition industrial presentations have been organized. On behalf of the Program committee we would like to thank and credit the authors for their excellent contributions.
