Sažetak
The aim of the study is to experimentally investigate the effects of external forces on the load sharing characteristics of the full planet engagement gear train. This type of planetary gear trains has a high power density but due to the complexity of the planets’ arrangement and the resulting specific assembly and adjacent conditions they are not widely used and there is very little known about the load distribution between the planets, especially in case of additional external loads applied to the gear train. To explore that influence a special test rig using a closed loop power flow is designed and manufactured allowing for the application of external load parallel to the torque applied. Low speed dynamic testing is conducted with different load scenarios and positions of the carrier. All data is acquired with strain gauges and the resulting bending stresses in the pins of the planets are calculated. The load sharing factor LSF is calculated for the planets and the results are presented graphically.
