Sažetak
The access economy term is described along with all the features of the business model and compared with traditional market models with particular emphasis on the ethical dimension. In a highly networked modern world, people do not need ownership and overconsumption of things and/or services but accessibility, usage, and experience. Access economy can be described as an Internet- based business model in which providers of various items and services, such as employment, transportation, tourism, workspace, music, finance, or durable-goods lending (demand), connect. Access economy business models significantly impact the market, society, and environment due to their drastically reduced transaction costs in digital environments. They compete with existing service providers in their industries (e.g., taxi services, vehicle rentals, or space access), impact workers (e.g., their skills, income, legal issues, and way of working), and provide consumers with alternatives (e.g., through storage-sharing rather than buying a property). Therefore, the access economy has already gained considerable attention from business, economic, environmental, and social science research.
