Sažetak
The “good” (quality, effective, successful) school has been established as a research area in the 1960s. The key aim of those researching this problem is to identify the factors of such schools, that is, to understand which criteria the school has to meet in order to be effective. The main purpose of this research is to examine the differences in perception of the “good” school from the teachers’ perspective. Results have shown that, even though there are statistically significant differences between individual segments, generally speaking, the teachers’ characteristics do not play an important role in the perception of the school’s quality, according to all the examined criteria. Teachers, as one of the key participants, should be able to recognize, through the process of evaluation and self-evaluation, whether their school is good, and act on the basis of that realization – i.e. either to keep it as such or to act with the aim of improving and enhancing it, for the benefit of all!
