Sažetak
A constituent of manufacturing technology called additive manufacturing aims to create products by depositing particles in thin layers. The final product can be produced by either digitizing an existing object or building a three-dimensional model on a computer using modelling software. The objective of this work was to effectively create a 1.75 mm diameter functional filament that may be utilized to make reactor components for the photocatalytic destruction of pollutants. Low density polyethylene granules (PE-LD), titanium dioxide (TiO2), and carbon nanotubes (CNT) were dry blended to create extruded mixtures in various ratios. Prior to size reduction and extrusion in a single- screw extruder, the resulting mixture must first be extruded in a twin-screw extruder. TiO2 was added up to 15 wt% and CNT up to 0.25 wt%. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and a tensile test were used to characterize the produced filament. A computer-aided design (CAD) application was used to create tensile test sample models, which were then 3D printed. Finally, based on the sample that printed the best and was suitable for the tensile test, the 3D printing settings were improved. Differential scanning calorimetry failed to identify any consistent pattern in he melting point shift brought on by the addition of fillers. The inclusion of filler raised the required temperature for the decomposition onset. The findings of the tensile test performed on the universal testing apparatus did not indicate a tendency for the tensile strength variation as a result of the inclusion of fillers.
