Sažetak
In comparison to similar protocols omitting cell lysis and protein extraction, we demonstrated a similar performance for the identification of gram-negative and superior performance for the identification of Gram-positive bacteria from positive blood cultures. This could be explained by including both the additional spin step and wash step in the procedure. Although in-house protocols aare fast, easy and inexpensive, extraction with methods such as Sepsityper is the solution if we want to provide a greater rate of precision for the identification of gram-poitive bacteria.
