Sažetak
Art therapy covers several areas: art expression, music therapy, dance and movement therapy, drama therapy and bibliotherapy and is used for therapeutic rehabilitation, empowerment, self-conlidence and self-perception of the individual through various media. The primary goal of this research was to determine whether primary school teachers arefamiliarwith theconceptofarttherapyandwhethertheyuseart/expressivemeth- ods in their work. At the same time, their personal creativity, creativity in class practice and attitudes about the application of art / expressive methods related to art therapy, as well as their further interest in art therapy were examined. For the purpose of the research, a questionnaire was created and conducted on a sam- ple of 171 teachers (F = 168, M = 3) of primary education in the Republic of Croatia. The results of the research show that most teachers are familiar with the concept of art therapy and that most of them carry out activities related to art therapy in their edu- cational work, such as art, music, dance, drama and reading activities. It was noticed that the application of art-expressive methods in dassroom teaching has a positive ef- fect on students' mood and motivation for further work, while teachers agree that in this way the psycho-emotional and psycho-social status of children, quality of life and school success can be improved.
