Sažetak
Proper synchronization is necessary for lossless data transfer in the mobile network. The condition for correct synchronization is a quality time reference. The GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) system has the highest quality time reference. This paper presents the application of the GNSS system as a source of time reference for the laboratory model of the radio base station. Also, the practical part of this paper was done on Ericsson base station. The Practical part consists of testing different scenarios of GNSS time reference failure. Also, satellite data about azimuth and elevation were collected and presented on the graph.
