Sažetak
Wall paintings from the Benedictine monastic church Sancti Cirici de Colera / Sant Quirze de Colera on the southern slopes of the eastern Pyrenees complement the rich corpus of Catalan Romanesque wall paintings. Until the last research campaign they were studied only superficially, while an in-depth analysis has been focused on the complex architectural transformations of the monastery. This paper will propose new considerations on the wall paintings that are covering the upper part of the southern apsis wall and its semi-dome. Even though they are only partially preserved, the remains of the paintings are still visible. It is our intention to present some reflections on its formal characteristics and its iconographic program.
