Sažetak
The paper analyses the poem by the Croatian author Tituš Brezovački Dalmatiae, Croatiae et Slavoniae trium sororum recursus ad novum Proregem Ioannem Erdödy, ne suis priventur coronis et novo sponso Leopoldo ab Hungaria ("The Plea of three sisters to the new Banus Ivan Erdődy, not to lose their crowns and their fiancé Leopold of Hungary"), commonly interpreted by the Croatian historiography as the text that marked the beginning of the "preparatory period of the Croatian National Revival". The analysis is undertaken in order to indicate both the elements corresponding with the poetics and politics of the representative Revival literature, as well as those that set this text apart from them.
