Sažetak
In the age of blended learning, with the abundance of traditional and digital learning resources and online learning platforms, it is often challenging to find a perfect balance between the traditional and virtual classroom. This workshop explores different ways in which hands-on supplementary learning materials, both print and digital, can be used to enhance learners' four language skills, as well as their digital literacy skills, critical thinking and creativity. This workshop also shows how different types of tasks that link online and in-class activities, and are designed to cater for different learning styles, can motivate students to pursue English language learning at their own pace and according to their interests and preferences, while at the same time improving their English language proficiency and expanding their knowledge of the cross-curricular content. In this way, we can shift the focus of our language classroom to the one that is more student-centered, thus helping learners on their path towards autonomous and playful learning beyond the classroom walls.
