Sažetak
This final paper is about two-stroke slow speed Diesel engines. This type of engine is today’s most represented type. It is used in the majority of world’s fleet. They are using a complicated construction with a big number of vital parts and systems which are shown in this paper. The main idea of this paper is to explain the propulsion system of ship’s Diesel engines, based on the two- stroke slow-speed crosshead constructions. It is very wide topic to write, but I tried to simplify as much as I could in an effort to bring the reader to an understanding of ship’s most important part - the Diesel engine.
