Sažetak
In the context of political events and relations in the Habsburg Monarchy after the restoration of the constitutional order in 1860, the article provides an overview and analysis of the basic demands, problems and conceptions of Croatian politics from 1861 to 1868. The article describes the work of the Croatian Parliament in 1861, the beginning of the formation of modern Croatian political parties, i.e. ideologies with different ideas on how to resolve the state-legal position of the Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia, political relations during the period of unconstitutional rule in Croatia, turmoil in the Croatian Parliament from November 1865, unsuccessful negotiations between Croatian and Hungarian Regnicolar Deputation in 1866, the defeat of the Habsburg Monarchy in the war with Prussia, the conclusion of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise (1867) which established the dualistic arrangement of the Monarchy, and finally the emergence of the Croatian-Hungarian Compromise (1868) with its basic features.
