Sažetak
(Re)contextualization is a process in which one context defamiliarizes another-each incorporates some of its qualities in the other. Few decades after World War Two, traditions were used to instigate gradual consolidation of the Macedonian national identity of the Republic of Macedonia. Through institutionalized folklore manifestations, control expressions of socialist culture and supporting amateur folklorism as an example of multinational union of fraternal peopels. But, at the beggining of the 21th century, traditional dances became a subject in another "new" approach. This paper considers traditional dance (re)contextualizationin the context the new theoretical approach as an intangible cultural heritage.
