Sažetak
In Macedonia, the folk dance scene has long been part of national and cultural identity-building. Thus, it became a pieace of grand, politically-initiated cultural projects. Cultural institutions promoted the national agenda.Folk dance, like other elements of 'folk culture' was modelled into a national form by experts and practitioners. This modelling was part of the Republic Macedonian's efforts-both under commusim and thereafter - to recreate national culture for the Macedonian People.
