Sažetak
The Late Iron Age in Dalmatia is marked by dynamic and intensive transformation of cultural groups as a consequence of stronger penetration of Hellenistic and Roman cultural models. The fact is that at the current state of research, mentioned processes are reflected most clearly in funerary customs, manifested in similar or different manners at different places. A vivid illustration of this statement can be found in two simultaneous grave contexts dating to the 2nd and 1st centuries BCE, tomb 105 from the necropolis of Liburnian Nadin (northern Dalmatia) and tomb 4 from the necropolis of the Illyrian hillfort Kopila on the island of Korčula (southern Dalmatia). Comparison of the tomb position within the necropolis, their construction, function, visible elements of funerary ritual, provenance and characteristics of the grave inventory will offer a basis for discussion about specific communities and their adaptation mechanisms to historical circumstances and areas of regional and supraregional framework wherefrom they received influences.
