Sažetak
Endobronchial ultrasound-transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) is the first method of choice in the staging of lung tumors as well as mediastinal lymphadenopathy of uncertain etiology. This diagnostic method is highly successful in the confirmation of extrathoracic malignant disease dissemination into mediastinal lymph nodes. The aim of this study was to compare EBUS-TBNA results in a group of patients with new-onset mediastinal lymphadenopathy (ML) who had previously been treated for colorectal carcinoma (CRC) with those patients who had previously been treated for other extrathoracic malignant diseases.
