Sažetak
The presentation provided an overview of the literary work done by Ivan Blažević, who was a Croatian priest, poet, literary writer and translator, and who worked and lived in many places across Austria and Hungary from 1888 to 1946. As such, he remained an important figure for the promotion and preservation of Croatian culture amongst Croatian diaspora in the area of eastern Austria and western Hungary. Among his poetry and literary work which covered childhood, animal- related themes, religious and patriotic themes, we also found his, so far undiscovered, and generally one of the first translations of the Wilde's Happy Prince into (Burgenland) Croatian language.
