Sažetak
Efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and the resulting green energy generation have led to a significant share of variable RES in power systems worldwide. As a result of the high penetration of RES units, especially inverter-connected wind turbines and photovoltaics (PV) the nature of dynamics of modern electric power systems have changed and their operation has become challenging, requiring new approaches to monitoring, protection, and control. On the other hand, the availability of modern smart technologies, e.g., sensor and ICT technology, has opened new paradigms for coping with new challenges. The presentation aims to address operational risks in future sustainable and low- inertia power systems and to propose new approaches for monitoring, protection and control of future sustainable and resilient power systems.
