Underground is one of the most unknown areas on the Earth. Available data are very rare and found in various databases and literature, therefore the preparation of the research is a long-lasting process. Speleological research on the island Cres started with cabinet work, studying literature and reviewing available maps. In the past, classic "paper" maps were used for comparison and research of the area. With development of the GIS this comparison method was significantly improved. GIS has enabled us to convey topographic with geological maps by a simple and fast technique. Why is it important? Some of the relief forms that are characteristic for karst are easily recognized on topographic maps. In addition, a great advantage in finding a possible position of undiscovered speleological objects is given by knowledge of gрю & ( > L N V X \ ^ ` „ Ъ 6 Ž Ђ Є І ф ц ( * R f h x | YS]mx‘’“ѓшнбшнбшЦшнбшКЏЦЏшКЏЦЏшКЏЦЄЦ™Џ™ЏшЦЏшЏ—ЏшЏŒЏшшhKeh`eemH sH hKehKemH sH UhKehЫXгmH sH hKeh№2ŸmH sH hKehGUьmH sH hKehцІH*mH sH hKeh№pQmH sH hKehGUьH*mH sH hKehJPŠmH sH hKehцІmH sH hKehцІ5mH sH .ртZ \ о Ђ f h z | TU‘’“њР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌњР!ЌgdцІ“ўeological structures and lithology.
