Sažetak
The paper reviews modern society and its subordination to technology and media. It is said that man becomes trapped within the media world and less and less realizes his essence as a human being. The economic effects of media have greatly exceeded expectations. The possibilities of using the media as a source of income are incredible today. The paper mentions McLuhan's theory of extensions as man's second hands. The influence of extensions on a person is enormous. In times of information saturation, the media have a special responsibility for what they publish. At the center of everything is man and his subordination to the media as extensions and the question of realizing the essence of man in today's time.
