Sažetak
Based on archival research the author presents the process of registration of private collections after the Second War World and with the establishment of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia, and reveals the fate of the private collections of public interest within the new Yugoslav legal system which created a framework to transfer private property into state ownership by confiscation, expropriation and nationalization.
