Sažetak
The EU Regulations 2016/1103 and 2016/1104, often referred to as the Twin Regulations, apply to particular matters within the wider area of family private international law. Their correct application depends on proper construal of their respective scopes of application, which might prove complex in certain cases. This paper discusses this issue taking account of the language and purpose of the provisions and the Regulations and previous CJEU case-law.
