Sažetak
The uguentaria that will now be discussed, except for one sample from the southern cemetery of the Burnum, were found, as I said, during systematic archaeological excavations of the amphitheatre and training camp of the legionary camp Burnum. Most of them have not been published and are kept in the Archaeological Collection of the Burnum Eco Campus. They date to the first half of the 1st century. Five whole, eight better preserved, and fourteen fragments of tubular unguentaria with a longer body than the neck were found, further divided into groups with accentuated neck, unaccented continuous transition to the neck, and fragments of tubular unguentaria. In conclusion, although specimens of tubular unguentaria from Burnum are not quantitatively numerous, their presence within the military camp indicates that they could be used for medical purposes as bottles for storing various medicinal essences and unguents. Some may be for cosmetic purposes. To keep fragrant preparations, deodorants, breath fresheners, and in that case, they probably formed part of the toilet of better-positioned soldiers.
