Sažetak
Based on the examination of last wills, statute laws, narrative sources, papal bulls, and decrees of Church councils from the period between the second half of the thirteenth century and the end of the fifteenth century, the authors discuss the problem of female pilgrimages as the consequence of the improvement of the social, legal, and economic position of women in the East Adriatic communes in the Late Medieval and Renaissance period.
