Sažetak
Social media arose from humans’ need to connect and create, and more than half of the world’s population now uses them. Children nowadays are more connected to other children across the world than at any other moment in history, resulting in the development of digital languages, highly visual forms of communication, and activities requiring varying degrees of multimodal, digital, and visual literacy. All of this indicates that in the digital age, social media contacts are an important aspect of children’s lives. Participatory and convergence cultures have made technology more accessible to children while also incorporating many media formats in a variety of contexts, making it a source of both entertainment and learning. Furthermore, a variety of media may be utilized to connect users, allowing for a diverse range of communication options.
