Sažetak
The authors have conducted a survey on the numbers of computers in the households of their elementary school pupils (N=2152), and on the number of computers in the households of students &#8211 ; future elementary school teachers (N=453). Teachers who work with children in elementary school have presented their experiences with computers in their classrooms, and commented on children using their own computers at home. The authors conclude that it is necessary to change the didactic scenarios used in the learning process, as well as introduce information technology in all pre-service teacher education curricula. Some educational theories attempting to explain the learning and teaching process also have to undergo certain changes in the new media environment.
